At the October lo, 1996 retreat, the Board of Directors determined
certain issues and goals germane to DDA's future participation in
the community, some of which related, but are not restricted to
Principles and Policies.
They are as follows:
* Balance the economic and environmental issues as they
relate to the River.
* Encouraging expansion of existing businesses particularly
those which create new jobs, and preclude outsourcing of
manufactured parts to other areas.
* DDA's full support and commitment to the Civic Center Plan
and Justice Center.
* Continuation of facade restoration and sidewalk
improvement projects.
* Encouraging new business, residences and parking
facilities within the central business district
particularly in under -developed or blighted areas of town.
