1998 WORKPLAN
Based upon the October 28, 1997 Board of Directors Retreat, the Downtown Development
Authority's 1998 workplan is as follows:
Actively explore alternatives for and pursue the formation of a successor
organization to the Downtown Development Authority;
2. Maintain a leadership role in the land use planning and implementation process
for that part of the Cache La Poudre River that flows through and/or may affect
the general welfare of the Fort Collins central business district;
Continue the long-term effort to redevelop the more significant historic structures
in downtown Fort Collins;
4. Maintain an active role in the development of a new performing arts complex;
Keep maintenance of downtown improvements a high priority.
In addition to these specific objectives, the DDA intends to maintain its commitment to and
support of the City of Fort Collins Civic Center Plan and actively participate in the process to
develop improved Court and County government facilities.
