2003 Workplan
The DDA Board of Directors has established the following projects as priorities for 2003:
1. Community Center/Civic Building providing amenities to a variety of community
interests. Would include the performing arts center. Other inclusions might be
senior facilities, educational facilities, recreational facilities, children's programs,
convention hall, incubator, farmer's market.
2. Marketing Downtown —promoting private development/relocation of some
national chains. Prepare infrastructure. Groundwork for business.
3. Specialty grocer.
4. Maintenance/security/public bathroom facilities.
5. Residential.
6. Parking/transportation, specifically trolley circulator and parking reconfiguration.
7. Projects that generate tax increment—fagades and new and re -development
8. River —Jefferson -Linden intersection. Re -think RFQ (place on December
agenda).
