FORT COLLINS PARRS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes, February 16, 1971
The regular monthly meeting of the Fort�Collins Parks and Advisory Board
was opened by the chairman, Mr. C. W. Peterson, at 7i00 p.m.
The minutes of the January meeting were approved
It was reported that the swimming pool is still being discussed by the
Poudre R-1 Board of Education and the City Council. Possible sites for
land for a major park and neighborhood parks were discussed.
Mr. Wes Sargent reported that the Elks Lodge is sponsoring a basketball
free-throw contest for members of J.A.A. basketball teams. Winners will
compete in district and state contests.
Two new electric score boards have been donated for the baseball diamonds.
It was reported that the Riwanis Club wants to buy some equipment for
Library Park.
Mr. Sargent reported that the Air Force Academy Band has been scheduled
for a summer concert on the second Tuesday in August. Possibilities
for places where they may be served dinner were discussed, and plans
will be finalized later.
The meeting was adjourned.
