The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was called
to order on Arril 27, 1976 at 7:35 P.M. by President Bob Hunt. Minutes of
the previous meeting were approved
A By -Laws Committee composer` of Dwain Miller, Gladys Eddy and Donna Beard
will formulate a set of by --Bars for this Advisory Board, to be voted upon
at a future meeting.
According to Bob Hunt, a aymposi?tm o-:i the football Race mask will be held
May 8th at C.S.U. If a representative from the department is not able to
attend, copies of the minutes will be requested.
City Council wants a review of the tennis reservation system by duly 1.
City Manager, Robert Brunton, has said no tournaments or adult lessons are
to be held on Edora Courts because it would defeat the purpose of the
reservation system. Charges and times are as follows:
$2.50 for 90 minutes
Weekdays - - - - - - .- - - 3:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M.
Saturdays and Holidays - 9a00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Sundays - - .- - - ._ a - .. 12,po noon a 9:00 P.M.
The third Special Olygpics for the handicapped are sche%uled for 'aturday,
May 1.
Dedication of the Fors, Collins Coxxr3nity Center will take place with ceremonies
at 2:00 P.M, on May 2, followed by an open ?souse until 5:00 P.M.
Tom Frasier reported that Cflico %fartiaez has been hired as a Recreation Leader
for low income areas, on a nine month program. He will work with other
supervisors for five weeks to zee how programs are run; talk to groups in low
income areas; learn their needs and work them into recreation programs.
The indoor pool is being repainted with flaking paint still a problem.
The costs of recreation programs are being put together.

Trough difficult to compute, the percentage of the -,!me spent by supervisor oa°
staff person on esCs nrogram, will be accounted for in the cost of each program.
The meeting was adjourned at 3;45 P.M. The next meeting will be May 25th at
