PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
MEETING - AUGUST 28, 2979
The minutes ob .the August 7th meeting wehe approved as head.
MOORE PARK - TENNIS CENTER
A conSuttant was to be selected soon to s.tant design dhawings. The Board
recommended .that .the President ob .the Tennis Association be contacted
.umediatety and .that a public hea-ting shoutd be aAAanged by .the new
consultant, as soon as .they ahe seteeted.
PARKLAND FEE
Moved - Reid; Seconded - Sotano
The Parkland bee bon 1980 be .ineneased to $400.00 - Motion debeated - 4 - 2
Board membeu asked bor mope .inbormation on cost ob neighborhood park
development and estimated number ob dwelling units sewed by each park, so
that .the tevel ob .the pahk bee could be evatuated.
BUDGET ITEMS
Each ob .the Division heads outlined theiA 1980 budget proposat6 and cuts.
The Board decided to devetop philosophy statements relating to several
budget areas and .in pa-ti.eulaA, the topics ob park bee, use& bees, program
cuts and maintenance ob medians.
The meeting adjouAned at 11:00 P.M.
NEXT MEETING: September 25th - 7:30 P.M. .in the downsta.ues meeting room at
145 E. Mountain Avenue.
