HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
MINUTES
April 15, 1987

I. Roll call
II. Mary moved and Paul second, minutes unanimously approved.
III. Board & Commission Budget
Requests from committees were given to Jaime who will
compile and make available a list.
IV. HRC Award will be given May 1, 1987, 7:30 - 9:00,
Lincoln Center Ludlow Room.
The subcommittee made their selections from the nominations
and those winners will be announced at the breakfast. Sam
moved to accept Paul seconded. Approved unanimously.
V. EEO - AA
Mayor and City manager would like to meet with the HRC about
affirmative action. Jaime will try to set this up soon.
Mike Powers and Jaime Mares are putting together an action
plan from Employee Development.
DEVELOPMENT
VI. Committee Reports
A.) o HUD tape is on file at the Library
o A discussion of board and commission
appointments was conducted. A letter
to council by Paula will highlight
our concerns.
B.) AIDS
No further action is presently required
but may in the future.
C.) Police
Will meet with Bud Reed this month.
D.) Martin Luther King Day
Barbara Rutstein gave David Lipp an
application for funding.
E.) Antidiscrimination and CAB passed
