VII Review of Roles of Boards & Commissions and Staff - Mike Powers Mr. Powers discussed the way that the boards and commissions are set up within the City system. The Cultural Resources Board is an advisory board which is set up to advise and recommend policy to City Council concerning their area of responsibility. The focus of the CRB's goals should be on policy issues; for example, seat tax issues, Choices '95 issues, Art in Public Places program, etc. The role of the staff is to provide the administration of the department. This would include such items as the centralized box office, the Museum storage, Lincoln Center restrooms renovation, etc. There is no need to redo the CRB's goals and objectives at this time but in the yearly review, changes could be made to follow the intent of the duties of the Board.
