The meeting was called to order by Colleen Cassell.
IThe Agenda was approved.
II The minutes of the meeting of November 19, 1981, were approved.
III Colleen Cassell announced that Randy Brillhart had submitted a letter of
resignation from the Cultural Resources Board, effective March 1, 1981.
He is moving to Texas.
IV Staff Reports
A. Lincoln Center, David Siever
1. Recent improvements: ` Mini -Theatre: A grid system installed;
the ceiling painted black to avoid reflected light. Lobby: New display boards
and benches; other accessories are planned.
2. Sherry Arensmeier is Lincoln Center's fund raising coordinator.
3. Lincoln Center League's fundraising event -Christmas Hall -netted a
$1,000 profit. The League is working on getting a strong core membership.
4. The final pledges on the original Lincoln Center fund drive have
come in, so that phase is now closed.
5. Scheduling for the fall, winter and spring of 1981-82 is very tight.
6. Lincoln Center and CSU are establishing a working relationship to
sell each other's tickets.
B. Museum, Brian Moroney
1. Mr. Moroney presented the Museum's annual report, which includes the
Museum's programs and events for 19801 plus information an accreditation. The Board
congratulated Mr. Moroney on the report.
2. Storage is still a critical problem for the Museum (and for Lincoln
Center, too). The managers of both facilities are open to suggestions.
3. Report on schoolhouse: Merrill Wilson fram the State Historical
Society examined the Courtyard buildings recently and felt that the Schoolhouse
could be moved. There is a possibility that some funds could becme.available for
the Courtyard because same of those buildings were originally in iahat is now the
Laurel School Historic District.
C. Cultural Resources - Ellen Thexton
1. The Performing & Visual Arts budget was balanced for 1980; therefore,
fee support from the Fort Collins Foundation was not necessary.
2. The Rocky Mountain Arts.Consortium, of Which Mrs. Thextom is the
chairman this year, is working on getting state support for cultural organizations
which are outside the Denver area (sane nenver cultural agencies are getting state
support funds but agencies outside Denve- are not).

3. Mrs. Thexton announced a plan for a publication on Old Town,
to include "before and after" photos and renovation guidelines.
4. Mrs. Thexton brought up the possibility of the Board nominating
some structures for historic designation, i. e., the Edwards House, the Car Barn,
the Depot on Jefferson Street.
V Landmarks Ordinance & Commission update - The new landmarks ordinance was passed
by City Council on 1st reading January 6, 1981.
VI Introduction of Land Developnent Guidance System book: Joe Frank of the City's
Planning Department, outlined the contents of the book and explained iahy the existing
regulations and system are being changed. Discussion and questions followed. The
new system's relationship to Historic Landmarks was brought up.
VIII Avery House - Colleen Cassell announced that $550 had been raised for Avery
House at the old fashioned Christmas party held there.
IX Design Review - Awnings at Red Garter. The Board approved the plans as
appropriate.
The meeting adjourned.
