SUMMARY MINUTES
Present:
Cultural Resources Board: Jim Weitz, Pauline Birky-Kreutzer, Jack Curfman,
Rosalyn Spencer, Colleen Cassell, Michael Griffith
Absent: Barbara Cain
Staff: David Siever, Brian Maroney, Edwina Echevarria
I The meeting was called to order by Colleen Cassell.
II The agenda for tonight and the minutes from the February 25, 1981 meeting were
approved as written.
III The newly -appointed board member, Rosalyn Spencer, introduced herself to the
Board and told a little of her background. The Board in turn introduced
themselves to Ms. Spencer.
IV Staff Reports
A. Lincoln Center - David Siever:
1. Presented to the Board the new Lincoln Center brochure and Lincoln
Center's End of Year Update Report.
2. Gave an update on the Mini-theatre/Exhibit Hall acoustical wall.
August is the target date for the construction on this wall.
3. Reported on CSU/Lincoln Center cooperation in mutual box-office ticket
sales. Mr. Siever hopes to fully implement this plan by August of this year.
4. Announced the new slide show on Lincoln Center, which will be shown
to the Board, possibly at next month's meeting.
5. Announced the Kodak (New York) convention to be held at the Center all
day May 6. The entire facility has been rented by Kodak.
B. Museum - Brian Moroney:
1. Reported on recent improvements at the Museum:
(a) Fasteners have been installed on cases to secure them better.
(b) Brackets have been installed on 4 x 8 panels to hold them together
better.
2. Reported on recent exhibits. Current one is a collector's showcase
of coins and stamps.
(c) Reported on recent Docent training, in light of accelerated
tours coming up in the spring.
(d) Reported that the Museum is looking for certain historical items
to add to its collection and is advertising to all City departments information
about this search.
V 622 Remington - tabled until next meeting.
VI An announcement was made that the National Register of Historic Places is
closed to private properties until new federal regulations regarding the listing of
such properties can be put into effect. (Preservation News, March 1981)
VII A possible deviation in the original plans of the Walnut Hotel renovation
was brought up. JJ��
