Staff Reports Fort Collins Museum Lincoln Center - Mr. Breimhorst (see attached) V. Committee Reports Lincoln Center Board is requesting a draft of the Cultural Policy so they can provide input and support. A recommendation was made to make the draft available to anyone who requests one. Other Business A Boards and Commissions breakfast will be held Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 a.m. in the Lincoln Center Ludlow Room. Items suggested to be placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting are: 1. Cultural Plan 2. Reaction to City Council action on Fort Fund The remainder of the meeting was spent discussing Fort Fund applications. Recommendations for funding are attached. The system was purchased by the museum in 1991 as part of the new City owned cable plant. It is a Meridian set and brings us up to today's standards. All employees will have a new phone at their extension. Carpeting Facilities will install new carpeting in the Museum in 1992. Installation will be delayed until Joy Poole (the new director) assumes her duties. Some structural changes may also occur and both should happen simultaneously. "Earth and Sky: A Romance with Phantom Canyon Ranch" This exhibit opened on Friday January 17th and continues through March 1st. Wednesday Night at the Museum program January 22nd at 7:30 pm "Phantom Canyon: Nature Conservancy's Wilderness at our Doorstep" The speaker will be Alan Carpenter. Open House An Open House for potential volunteers will be held Thursday January 23rd, 1-3 pm. Staff Karma Swanson (part-time secretary) will be leaving on February 1. Jill Gardner will be replacing her, working both at Lincoln Center and the museum. Community Pool Renovation: Begins May 18, 1992 and completion date in January 1, 1993 Some impact to Lincoln Center when the sewer line in the alley is replaced. 1992 2205 New Sound Board A new sound board needed to be purchased to replace the outdated board that was purchased when the building opened in 1978. Carpet Replacement Carpet replacement has been completed. Work left to be completed includes: Marbeling of columns Cut -in of stripes in carpet Painting the Box Office New Wall covering behind display boards Winton Marsalis Winton Marsalis has been booked for April 2 for the Boards and Commissions annual recognition concert.
