V. Committee Reports
Bill Kneeland reported on Challenge Fort Collins.
VI. Museum Renovation
Joy Poole led a tour of the museum to explain the
proposed renovations.
VII. Cultural Policy
A copy of the policy was passed out to board members with
a rough draft of the Council Work Session agenda item
summary.
VIII. Cultural Plan
The board's concensus was to table discussion until after
the worksession with city council.
IX. Work Plan
The 1993 workday will be completed at the October meeting
of CRB.
X. Other Business
Kathryn Stubler reported on the Riverwalk in Pueblo.

CULTURAL RESOURCES BOARD
SEPTEMBER 23, 1992
EXHIBITS
The traveling show DREAM MAKERS - Images a children's art exhibit by Four Corners
Area students, primarily Navajos, is on display through December 31, 1992. These forty
works are accompanied by written essays on dreams, ambitions and personal views.
It's a remarkable show and has been well received thus far.
Colorado Urban Wildlife exhibit was featured at the Environmental Fair September 19th.
300+ people toured the exhibit during the fair.
Fifty Cache La Poudre commemorative fine art posters have been sold at $10.58. These
popular posters have been sold at New West Fest - Year of the River booth,
Environmental Fair in the Year of the River room and the museum. Notecards and
postcards are also for sale.
STAFF
Karin *erhart announces the arrival of Toby Robert born Sept. 16th.
Volunteer recognition breakfast is scheduled for September 24, 1992 at the Lincoln
Center. To date, volunteers have contributed 3,000 hours.
The Development Officer position will be posted the first part of October. This half time
position will assist Joy in professional development to meet our goal of diversifying the
museum's financial base. The staff has been trained on the software program - Word
Perfect Beg. & Intermediate. Joy met with City Manager - Steve Burkett in August to
get acquainted and discuss museum, city and community goals.
PIIYSICAL FACILITY
A couple of designs for the building of professional staff offices have been evaluated. The
designs, pending the approval of the gift shop supplemental by city council members,
have flexibility to incorporate the location of the gift shop as well as a new receptionist
area. Cultural Resources Board members will receive a presentation by Joy Poole
at tonight's CRB meeting.
PROGRAMS
The AZTEC trip to Denver Museum of Natural History for Sept. 28th. The first AZTEC
lecture series in conjunction with the library attracted 30 folks. The museum wishes to
thank Liz Brandis and John Pfieffenberger for their cooperation and support of this
museum event. Tickets are still available for Oct. loth and Nov. 12th.
The fall program list has been distributed and is attached for your convenience.
These public programs revolve around the Colorado Urban Wildlife Exhibit.
