Changes —to Fort Fund Guidelines - During the course of the three Fort Fund grant session this past year, the Board identified four areas of concern regarding the Fort Fund guidelines. These areas of concern were set aside to be considered for possible changes within the Fort Fund guidelines. The areas of concern that were identified include: 1. Adding "need" to the criteria 2. Further explanation of what being "open to the public". 3. How to address a concern organizations from Colorado are receiving funds. 4. Raising the maximum amount Tier #3 grant applicants. for funding. is meant by an event over the number of State University that of funds available to The Board members discussed ideas for possible changes to the Fort Fund guidelines but wanted to wait to make any final decisions regarding changes until the entire Board could meet together. The Board will finalize changes at its regular meeting in September with the following ideas as input: 1. The criteria of "need" should be added to the criteria for funding. 2. Board members will each draft an explanation of how they interpret the current Fort Fund guidelines when they are making funding decisions. These interpretations will be discussed at the next regular meeting and staff will compile a document that reflects each Board members interpretations. This document will be used as information in discussions on any possible changes to the Fort Fund criteria such as events being open to the public. 3. No action should be taken at this time to address the number of organizations from Colorado State University that are receiving funds. 4.
