I. Call to order 3:35p.m. — Mr. Sherman
Consideration of the agenda
III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of June 21, 2000
Ms. Dale moved to approve the minutes
Ms. Gram seconded
Unanimously approved
IV. Civic Center Office Building Final Presentations
Ms. Martin reviewed the selection process. The four finalists presented their
proposals and answered questions from the board. The Board evaluated the four
finalists using the evaluation sheet provided by staff. Mr. Sherman invited citizen
input and there was none. The evaluation forms were tallied and the results were
given to the Selection Committee. Committee members discussed the applicants'
proposals.
Ms. Gram moved to accept Rafe Ropek's "Support" with the addendum of adding
additional lighting so the artwork can be easily viewed at night.

V. Staff Reports — Staff distributed and discussed a written report on staff activities
since June's Board meeting.
VI. Other Business — Mr. Sherman announced that he will be absent from the August
meeting. Ms. Gram shared with the Board some articles about "copy cats" of the
acclaimed "Cows on Parade" exhibit. Ms. Dale requested that staff create a list for
board members of the city parks and their locations.
