Two new members were introduced: Chris Wood &
Mariam Masid Pfiarris.

Will continue list of attendees and next meeting
date. Added attendees to 5/21 minutes.
Approved as corrected.
Follow-up
Horak on vacation so Duffy has not contacted him
yet on conflict of interest ordinance.
Bylaws/Chair
Roles of Chair and facilitator discussed and
Report/Role of
rotation of secretary and facilitator. Need
Officers/
list of secretary rotation for year in advance.
Facilitator
Bylaws will be amended in Article VII to reflect
election of chair, vice -chair and 3 facilitators
in May and nominating committee appointment in
April. Article VI amended for facilitator
terms.
Bylaws also need corrections re: spelling &
sentence structure. Corrected copies in next
packet for final copies.
Award for Ginny W. years of service. Kathy E. to
follow-up
Meeting Schedule Meetings through the summer are also important.
Will continue.
Idea of using a meeting for an informal session
to brain -storm and discuss community needs.
September meeting (9/17) was selected to review
task force goals.
Committee Reports Carolyn - Outreach
1. Senior Center on hold
2. City recreation fees in process; waiting
for reports.
Kathleen - Legal/Government
1. Womans/Pace response M. Martel will write
article on Gender Bias.
2. Court Watch
3. "Corridors of Achievement" or "Hall of
Fame" - recognition for Women's issues
advocacy. Ann reviewed HRC award.
Patricia Olson - Basic Needs
3 Areas of emphasis
1. Labor Day classes at CSU
2. Kids in trouble
3. Child care availability for
poor/working poor. .
Legislation Parental leave bill may be vetoed.
Other Business Special election July 10 for City of Fort
Collins re: Collective Bargaining
Historian? Ann T has minutes, agendas, goals
annual reports, articles, etc. City Clerk has
minutes on file. Not necessary.
