Outreach Essay contest - Merideth Abbey has mailing list Carolyn will
& current topics. follow up.
Ann will
keep mailing
Womens/Pace - Thanks to Sally Miles, Karen Legal/Gout
Wilkens & Barbara Cohen for articles. Triangle will write
Review retains right to edit articles, but if article on
changes are substantial, author should ask for Boards &
correction. Commissions
workshop
Legal/Govt. Boards & Commissions workshop will be April 3, Will make
from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Susan flyers &
Kirkpatrick & Ann Azari. handouts for
next
meeting.

Jr. League Project- still being reviewed by Jr
League.
Senior Center project. Please give specific
feedback to Carolyn.
Approved as written
Budget Commission has a budget of approximately $1800.
Some is spent on copies & postage, but balance
is available for projects.
Packet Highlights November EEO/AA update - FYI. Goal for
Legal/Govt. for 1991 is to review the data with
Dana Hiatt. Human Relations Commission is also
interested in this issue.
Other
Prioritization of
items for agenda
Commission members would like packets earlier
Agreed to meet on President's Day next month.
If you have a packet item you want placed on the
agenda, please note it and call Chair or Ann by
packet deadline.
Proposed that at a future meeting Commission
delineate how issues are brought to commission.
Discussion: 1) Need to function as an
integrated unit. 2) Need to do something
substantive 3) need a structure.

Next Meeting Group agreed to hear a speaker on Hazardous Sally will
Waste issue at next meeting. invite.
Peace initiative commission agreed to send letter to Council
urging open discussion at Feb 5 meeting.
Members are all free to make statements as
individuals to Council.
Changing Woman Commission agreed to send letter to KCOL in
Radio Show support of Leslie Botha's radio show because it
provides an important forum for Women's issues.
