COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
JULY 15, 1991
PRESENT: Dana Hiatt, Kathleen Faller, Doug Gertner, Bobbi Cullor, Brownie
McGraw, Lu Fisk, Mary Zamora, Ann Azari, Kathy McLeod, Donna Aurand, Lynn
Warner, Audrey Faulkner

Discussed with Ann Azari the possibility of

having a commission member participate in the
interview process for Boards & Commission
members. Also discussed length of term of
liaisons to various Boards & Commissions.
Follow-up:
Dana Hiatt reported on Crossroads Board.
Domestic Violence Task Force looking into
Domestic Violence
education programs which may be available to use
as a pilot program.
Youth Commission
Brownie reported on Youth Commission. Board
Chair called to say, it's a good idea and would
want to implement if money went with program.
Change of director may cause a delay.
Kathy McLeod passed out a position statement on
the functioning of Task Forces for consideration
at August meeting.
Team Building
Doug passed out a proposal for multicultural
Exercise
education team training for commission use at'a
future retreat. The purpose of training is to
build team spirit by knowing each other and our
backgrounds.

activities would be involved because of concerns
about what type of experimental learning

Mary Zamora expressed support for the idea of
cultural diversity training because of the
growing diversity of all groups we work with.
