GOLF ADVISORY BOARD
March 15. 1978
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Jim Mitchell.
H. R. Phillips reported on golf course play to -date. He also reported
on status of Collindale Concession, currently waiting on Health Department's
inspection, after which license will be issued. The beer license has been
approved and plans are for the restaurant to be open this weekend.
President Mitchell read a letter from the City Attorney regarding
ownership of the City Park Nine land. His recommendation is 'not to
pursue the issue at this time'. The Board agreed to drop the ownership
matter.
H. R. Phillips reported on status of Pineridge property. He is currently
gathering necessary information to prepare a comprehensive report by
mid -summer. He will also go back to M. Bittinger and Associates with
revised request for re -bid. If their re -bid is $4,000.00 or less, H. R.
will proceed as necessary. It was the consensus of the Board to continue
with present plans.
H. R. Phillips reported on Tom Peck's status. He has unofficially
resigned and should be submitting official notice this month. H. R.
will contact the city personnel office for determination on eligibility
of current employees and any possible conflicts on hiring practices. If
if becomes necessary for Board action, a special meeting will be called.
Tabled further discussion on pro's and concessionaire contracts.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
