COLLINS PARES & RECRTA.TION DLPART11ENT GOLF COURSE B01"110 Minutes of Njeeting on 7119176 Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. The play rc-cords and tournament schedule were rcviewed and discussed. Financial records were not available. Security for the golf carts at Collindale was discussed. Although some short-term measures such as chaining carts together may be necessary, it was agreed that the best long-term solution would be to budget funds for a storage building in the capital budget program sometime in the future. The water study on the pineridge property is due for completion by August 1. If the study is favorable, we should develop a plan (including proposed funding arrangements) to review this project with the City Council. H. R. Phillips reported that he is working on the 1979 Golf budget, and should have it ready early in August. The Board should review this and present our recommendations to City Council during the August -September budget review. As both the Pineridge water study and the proposed budget should be reviewed as early as possible, it was decided to call a special meeting of the Board as soon as the information is available. The "outhouse" situation at the SE corner of Collindale was discussed. It was decided that a second unit would be installed (for women) if funds are available. As a long-term solution, it was agreed that funds for a future ermenent restroom facility should be budgeted. This would be constructed when water and sewer service is available from the new develop- ment to the south. The need for a marshal at Collindale was discussed. It was agreed that if the job continues, a more strict enforcement of fast play rules is required. This will be discussed again at a future meeting. Dave Sadler reported that the sprinkler system is complete on holes 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 of City Park Nine. The remaining holes will be completed before next season. Meeting was adjourned at 9 p.m. Present: H. Gibson, J. Greer, W J. Nahce, H. Phillips, CJ. R. Mitchell i Hodges, N. Johnsen, J. Mitchell, D. Sadler
