H. R. Phillips introduced Dugan Wilkinson, who the City has retained to perform the initial stage of the water resource survey. Mr. Wilkinson outlined the capabilities of Dixon Reservoir and its feeder ditch. The reservoir has storage capacity of 355 acre/ft. which is supplied by the feeder ditch at the rate of 8 sec./ft. and can supply a maximum of 469 acre/ft. during the delivery period of April 1st to November lst. Currently the reservoir is entirely owned by private parties. Mr. Wilkinson has determined that the reservoir does have adequate capacity to provide irrigation for an 18 hole golf course. The next step on the Pineridge property will be to approach the reservoir owners, which will be accomplished by H.R. Phillips with assistance from Art March, Jr. Golf course play records were reviewed and discussed. The "outhouse" and "cart house" situation at Coll.indale was brought up again. No immediate solution appears to be in sight because of funding problems. If Council were to extend current sales tax for 5 yr. capital plan, funds then might be available in 3 years. Neil Johnson discussed the Warren Lake water problem, which will be shut off on September 15th and informed the Board of interim measures being taken to insure irrigation water for Coll.indale. The 1979 budget was reviewed with no anticipated fee increase for that period. The Board discussed the possibility of approaching Council on an additional fee for a golf course building fund. No final decision was reached. The next meeting will be on September 20, 1978 at City Park Nine Golf Course at approximately 5:00 P.M.
