Minutes of Meeting

The regular meeting of the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Advisory
Board was called to order at 7.30 p.m. by the chairman, Mr. Charles W.
Paterson, in the City Hail, on March 15, 1966.
The minutes of the February meeting were approved. The budget and financial
report of Club Tico were reviewed .
Nr. H. R. Phillips reported on the winter program in recreation which is
drawing to a close. There were more participants in the different activities
than in previous years and each one was highly successful.
Problems relating to operation of the swimming program for the summar
were considered, particularly the operation of the concession stand. There
was discussion about having one cashier handle both the admission charge
and the charge for baskets. Mr. Phillips was directed to arrange the
policies and to discuss possible revisions for a new contract for.the
concessions with the concessionnaire.
Mr. Robert Dun reported that several propositions for a municipal golf
course will be presented to the City Council by the committee which has
been working for some time on this problem*
Hro Phillips reported on development of. land given by Hra Everitt for a
park, and he also reported that there may be a possibility of negotiating
a lease for another acreage of land adjoining Avery Park. He also noted
that land has been provided by Mro Forney for flying radio -controlled
model airplanesa
Two companies are bidding for a contract to remove weeds from City Park
Lake.
The meeting was adjourned.
