Norman Wynn requested the names of at least 10 persons who use the SAINT services for transportation to Doctors for the purpose of adding strength to the request for funds. Other contacts suggested were: Dr. Peter Standard, President of Larimer Co. Medical Society, Dr. S.R. Schneider, Dentist. At this point the SAINT program is receiving about 160 calls per week. There is a need for additional drivers. Discussion followed regarding concerns of private homes engaged in board and care in Fort Collins area. Scecific factors were in the area of safety and 'health for those receiving care. It was suggested that the Senior Board make a recommendation to the City Council requesting that certain safety and health levels of regulations be estab- lished in order to 7,ive assurance of guidelines of adequate safety and cleanliness for persons residing in established board and care facilities. No action was taken on this matter. Lucy Tackle retorted on the "Family Advocacy & Problem Solving Through Community Partner- ships" on April 3 and 4 as representative for the Sr. Board. Main objective of this workshop was to bring together various groups or persons of like concerns in the area of family advocacy and present avenues of communication whereby efficiency and goals could be brought together in a united manner. Hopefully some groundwork has been laid to assist persons involved in human relationships and assistance to form a closer network in order to better avoid duplicationy also to have a better reference source thereby eliminating confusion on the part of persons making inquiries for assistance.
