Meeting was called to order by acting chairperson, Joe Campanella. II. Minutes were reviewed and Pat Long requested that his name be corrected on the third page. A motion was made and passed to approve the minutes of May 14, as corrected. III. CDGB report was given by Pat Long. Pat reported that all the CDBG funds of $760,000 have been allocated to various agencies. Proposals for land and building received about what was requested, while services were cut 15%. Pat also explained how the CDBG Board determines eligibility for each proposal. -This is based on a priority ranking guideline from 1-5 by each member. This can include things such as the importance of the service, how long they've been in existence, etc. Proposals accepted - CDBG Administration $ 30,000 - Catholic Community Service 7,500 - Neighbor to Neighbor 122,000 - Concerned Citizens of Nursing Home Residents 2,000 - Neighbor to Neighbor Counseling Center 10,168 - Housing Rehabilitation 105,000 - Care -A -Van 14,636 - L.C.S.I. - 64,160 - Crime Stoppers 2,500 - Handicapped Information Center - Living Skills 33,680 - Collins Housing 23,690 - U.D.C.C. - Sliding Scale 20,405 U.D.C.C. - Outreach 2,750 - Women's Center Outreach 2,750 - Contingency Funds 134,747 Page 2. Proposals not funded - YMCA - Job Bank - Jubilee Coalition - SAINT - Parks and Recreation - Nelson Farm Home Some members requested having copies of the CDBG Board's decision on why and how each agency's funds were given. Copies to be handed out at July meeting. IV. Committee Reports None of the committees established at the last meeting have been able to meet. There was a motion to have all committees meet prior to the next board meeting so that a report may be given on the status of each committee's project. The motion was seconded and passed. All committees will keep Sam Easterling informed of what is happening on each committee: -Her number is 221-6640 or 221-6645. V. 1986-87 Tentative July - Paula and Mildred will coordinate an orientation for new members. August - Patty and Mildred will ask Anita Basham and Susan Pederson to speak at the August meeting on early dismissal at the hospital. September - Sam will invite a city engineer employee to discuss some specific problems on streets and ramps. Members will be compiling a list of concerns. October - Mildred will contact Nancy McCambridge of "Choice" and Pete McWilliams of "Concerned Friends of Nursing Hanes Residents" to speak at their programs. VI. 1986-87 Slate of Officers Chairman - Joe Campanella Vice Chairman - Pat Long Secretary - Patty Raco-Wunsch Motion made to accept the new slate of officers as nominated. Motion was seconded and passed. VII.
