Is there a senior advisory board for the county? Kay will research this and report back to Andv Anderson. 2. How is the board involved in the new Senior Center? Jean explained our past involvement and said that we would be involved in data collection in the future. 3. Why haven't we approached United Seniors before this point? Kay explained that the Board had just recently had their role redefined by City Council and had been asked to be more involved in an outreach program and collecting data for senior issues. That prompted the change in meeting times so that, for this month, the Board could make it convenient for United Seniors to attend. Jean also suggested that United Seniors write a letter to City Council requesting that the next appointed member to the Senior Advisory Board be selected from their group, geographical location, or special interest, whichever is appropriate. Billie suggested that United Senior members also apply whenever there is a vacancy. APROVAL OF THE MINUTES Marjorie McTaggart's name should be corrected from Margaret under new business, item lc. Kathleen moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Billie seconded and the vote was unanimous. OLD BUSINESS 1. Senior Center update - Jean Helburg gave an update on the new senior center.
