Adjournment September 14, 1991 Bob Winokur, City Councilmember City Municipal Building 300 W. Laporte Avenue Fort Collins CO 80521 At the regular meeting of the Fort Collins Senior Advisory Board on September llth, it was moved and seconded that "in view of the promotion of Fort Collins as a retirement area, the Senior Advisory Board recommends that City Council reconsider the selling of Southridge Golf course." The motion passed unanimously. This came up during the update and discussion of the promotion of Fort Collins as a retirement area. Board members brought up concerns about the golf course issue that have been expressed by other seniors. Specifically that, under private ownership, Southridge could become a private and costly club, precluding use by a great number of seniors on fixed incomes.
