COORDINATING CO)idISSION FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
September 12, 1973
The regular meeting of the Commission was held in the City Council
Chambers at 3:30 p.m. on September 12, 1973.
Members present: William J. Boggs
Walter B. Peterson
Charles N. Shepardson
Ed R. ,Martin
James F. Conlon
Fern S. Douglass
Chester E. Hommon
Members absent: W. R. Deitloff
Minutes of the meetings of August 8, August 15, and August 29, 1973,
were approved with the correction that Mr. Martin was present on Agusut 29, 1973.
Home Health Service: The proposed resolution regarding establishment
of a Home Health Service was approved unanimously and ordered transmitted to
the City Council for its consideration.
Mrs. Douglass reported on the Pueblo program and distributed a memo-
randum on the sane for future considerttion.
Ad Hoc Committee on the Needs of Senior Citizens: Mrs. Douglass also
reported on the desire of an Ad Soc Committee on Needs of Senior Citizens of
which she is Chairman, to meet with the Commission. It was agreed that they
should prepare an agenda of items they wish to discuss to be presented at the
October meeting with the expectation that they would meet with us in November.
Transportation: It was agreed that Jan Reynolds, Director of
Care -A -Van should be invited to meet with our Commission at its October meeting
to discuss the program as related to other transportation problems.
Thanks to Mrs. Glover: The Secretary was instructed to write a
letter of thanks to Mrs. Evelyn Glover of the Larimer County Welfare Department
for her counsel and assistance in our consideration of proposals for a Home
1'r,alth Services.
The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 10, 1973, at 3:30 p.m.
at City Hall.
