COORDINATING COMMISSION FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
April 13, 1977
The regular meeting of the Coordinating Commission for Senior Citizens was held
on Wednesday, April 13, 1977, in the parlor of the First Presbyterian Church at
1005 Stover. Meeting was called to order at 2:40 p.m. by hairwoman F an Bigelow.
Members Present: Rev. Fran Bigelow, Chairwoman
Mr. C.E. Hommon, Vice Chairman
Mrs. Mabel Kenney
Mrs. Ginny Dunford
Mrs. Ann Azari
Mr. Robert Perez

Also present were three student reporters from CSU.
The minutes of the March 9, 1977 meeting were received as issued. New Commission
Members, Ms. Ann Azari and Mr. Robert Perez were warmly welcomed by the other
members,
OLD BUSINESS: Mr, Hommon was commended for his work on the utility rates report.
This information was received and discussed at the March 9 meeting, however, dis-
cussion was tabled for current meeting business. Mr, Hommon reminded the Com-
mission that an income of $4000 for a single person, and $4800 for a couple was
considered low-income category. After much discussion, motions and recalled
motions, a motion was made by Mr. Hommon, seconded by Mrs. Dunford. The motion,
that annual rebates remain as presently planned, that is, at $25.00 per each
eligible utility customer, and that no effort be made to adjust rebate payments
for less than all three utilities, was carried with all members present voting

Coming as a surprise to the Commission was the resignation of Chairwoman Bigelow.
She has accepted the'call to a church in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, as of April 28,
1977. Needless to say, Fran will be missed and the Commission commended her on
her excellent leadership.
Mr. Chet Hommon, Vice Chairman, will preside at the next meeting, to be held
at the Methodist Church parlor, May 10, at 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Hommon has requested that all members be prepared for election of new officers,
and a discussion of future plans for the Commission, at our next meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
