The Fort Collins Senior Advisory Board held a regular meeting on
Wednesday, July 9, 1997 at the Senior Center.

11. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by the chair,
Yvonne Myers at 2:02 PM
III. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
None
IV. CORRESPONDENCE: A memo was recieved from Rita Harris
with requirments for postings of city meetings,Yvonne, Barb will check to
see that we are in compliance.
V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of June 11, 97 were approved

VI. GUEST SPEAKER: None.
VII. OLD BUSINESS:
A. OUTREACH MEETINGS UPDATE: September 3,97 joint
meeting with Youth Board, The oureach meeting with the Larimer County
Resident Council was cancelled by the Ombudsman. Oct. 9, 97 Plymouth
Congregational.
B. RECREATIONAL FEES: Copy of rewritten letter was handed
out. The Parks and Rec. Board no longer wants to send a mutal letter.
Discussion followed about the contents of letter to be drafted.
C. SENIOR HOUSING: Kay reported about her meeting with City
Manager, John Fishback, who until then had been unconvinced about the
need for senior housing. Kay is still checking into other communities who
may have a first right of refusal in trailer parks.
D. SAGE NET: Ed reported that it has been mailed out, corrections
made, Luncheon plans are proceeding.
E. TRANSPORTATION: Neat meeting of Advisory Board July 10, 97
F. COMMUNITY WIDE POSITIVE AGING:. Perspectives show will be
taped July 14,97 audaince is encouraged to come.
G. BUDGET: No Report.
H. LIAISONS REPORT: Marjorie reported taht no changes were made
to the Human Rights Ordance since we reviewed it. A review commitee ha s
been selected by John Fishback, progress of this commitee will be reported
to community.
I. Unathorized_Parking at the Senior Center will be reviewed by the Senior
Center Councils next meeting.
J. Media Relations will not meet until nect month.
K. TRIAD. The Coloradion endorsed the program and the next meeting will
be July 30, 97 AM at RSVP
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Chili Cook Off: October 11,97 members are to plan and think about
possible sponsers.
B. New West Fest. August 16,17,97 The Advisory Board was not sent a
application,the fee cannot be waved this year, Tenitive plans for next Year.
C. Community Home Coming: October 4,97 week long celebration
community involvement. The Theme this year is Community Unity
members will ponder this for the next meeting.
