MEETING MINUTES
May 25, 1999
12:15pm to 1:30pm
Those present: Allan Apt, Mark Beck, Laura Burnett, Mark Cummings, Donald Fish,
Mark Kramer, Nathan Montgomery, and city co -liaison Robert Palmer
• Minutes from the last meeting May 12,1999 were read and approved.
New meeting schedule was discussed, which would change meeting days from the
second and fourth Wednesday of each month to the second and fourth Thursday of
each month This has been tentatively approved by all members. Our next meeting
will be Thursday June 10, 1999. Motion to temporarily hold the next meeting on
Thursday June 10, 1999 rather than Wednesday June 9, was approved.
Bob Palmer is checking with Blair Least to see when we can have a Recognition
Lunch for him.
• It was mentioned that Fort Collins Disability Awareness Day is in October this year
and we need to do some planning for this.
The June 24, 1999 meeting will be a Agencies and Services meeting to discuss
linking to the agencies and try to determine their resources, data bases services, as
well as other services. Four agencies who might contribute to the 24 h meeting are:
Disability Connections — Barb Stutsman, Disability Resources -Nancy Jackson, Career
Planning -Rich Feller, and Easter Seals in Denver. In addition Allan Apt and his
subcommittee will be invited to this meeting.
• The June 10, 1999 meeting will be used primarily as a planning meeting for the June
24, 1999 meeting. Allan Apt and his subcommittee were going to make this meeting,
however, Allan called June 1,1999 and will be out of town on the 10`h. Allan's
subcommittee is working on ADA Disability awareness.
• This meeting ended at approximately 1:30pm. The next meeting will start at 12:15pm
June 10, 1999.
