Regular Meeting - April 19, 1993

The mintues of the March meeting were approved.
Rusty, from the Engineering Department of the City addressed the
Board. He was looking for input on priority locations through out
the City for building and/or repairing concrete ramps.
Marc Engemon, Engineering Department stated they were concerned
about how these places were identified and if there should be other
criteria for adding ramps. They are aware of the enormous need for
ramps in the City. Discussion followed.
Shirley Reichenbach was back in the hospital, McKee in Loveland
room 238.
Old Business
Debbie Kalin stated Pete Dallow, ADA Coordinator, was invited to
attend the next COD meeting.
Mike Gebo handed out forms from the City Clerk's office to update
addresses, phone numbers, etc.
Revised by-laws were distributed and discussed. The changes will be
given to Paul Eckman, City Attorney, to review.

A survey in the city of Fort Collins to determine the number of
disabled people and what disabilities they have was discussed. Mike
Gebo stated there will be a cost involved and needed to contact
City Hall to see if a survey was possible. Mike suggested the
Commission form a committee to work on the survey. Budget requests
need to be in to Council by June, so a proposal for money for this
survey needs to be requested.
A lengthy discussion was held regarding ADA.
Mike Gebo stated two departments, Planning and Parks, would like to
make presentations to this Commission next month.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:40pm.
