MEETING MINUTES
June 10, 1999
12:15pm to 1:30pm
Those present: Nancy Baker, Mark Beck, Mark Cummings, Donald Fish, Initha Stuckey,
and Lila Vizzard, which constituted a quorum.
Minutes of the May 25 meeting where received by members present and approved as
written.
• It was discussed and decided that the hour and half provided at the June 24, 1999
meeting would not permit the presentation of both: Services and Agencies Discussion
and the ADA Disability Awareness Presentation. The commission voted to separate
the meetings into the following:
The June 24, 1999 meeting will be devoted to Allan Apt, his subcommittee and their
work on ADA Disability Awareness. The Agenda for this meeting will therefore be
provided at the time of the meeting.
The July 8, 1999 meeting will be the discussion of Services and Agencies. Easter
Seals, Disability Resources, CSU Career Planning and Disability Connections will be
invited.
It was noted that the new term for commission members begins July 1, 1999. A
replacement member for Mark Cummings will be required, as his new job will
require his full time. Mark will be able to attend the next two meetings, which, should
allow time to find a replacement. We wish Mark the best in his new job as counselor
at Fort Collins High School, yet, we will miss him and his input to the commission.
We hope he will be able to visit from time to time and may be able to serve again at
some future date.
• The commission discussed the need to review and provide a new Public Buildings
and Services Access Survey. Means to provide such a survey, as well as, who would
be targeted, were discussed. Due to time Don Fish asked that the discussion be tabled
until our July 22, 1999 meeting and no action be taken until then.
This meeting ended on time at approximately 1:30pm. The next meeting will begin at
12:15pm June 24, 1999 in the CIC Room of Fort Collins City Hall. Hope to see every
one at our next meeting.
