Quality of Life Issues (cont) g. Animal Concerns 1. Household pets 1 2 3 4 5 36% 2. Animals at large 1 2 3 4 5 55% COMMENTS: Some of the comments added are as follows: Traffic issues: Great need for better control of growth and traffic. Better programing of traffic lights and stop signs. Respect property rights. Too much growth. Limit housing developments. Too many new developments. Too many cars. Better traffic enforcement. Cars speeding. Too much development. Control growth and unchecked development. Control speed on ALL streets. Better control of RV vehicles on streets. Keep boats and RV's from being parked on streets. More class restaurants. Vehicles on sidewalks. Encourage car pooling. Prohibit use of cell telephones while driving. Loud music in cars. Speed limits on streets should be raised. Does not shop downtown Loveland because of 2-hour parking limit. Lack of parking spaces. We need to be more mindful of youth. Owners of pets should be responsible. Keep dogs leashed. Barking dogs. Limit number of household pets. Barking dogs. Barking dogs out of control. Pet owners are not cleaning up after their pets. Unleashed dogs. Very concerned the way City Council spends money. After weekends the city's parks are trashy. We need better access to public transportation. We need a way to go to events at nights and on weekends. Great need for lower priced housing for seniors. i 1.1 • Keep traffic signage visible. Golf fees are too high for seniors. Players at golf courses should pay for their use of the course. Do not like roundabouts We need stricter rules against keeping or parking broken-down cars on streets. The Chilson Senior Center trips are too limited —only 15 persons can go; there is always a waiting list. Trips are unavailable. We need more classes. Offer same outing more than once. Many seniors never get to go on trips. It seems that the SAME people always go on the trips. WHY was not EDUCATION included in this survey? Better mosquito control is needed. We need a front -range railroad. A stop sign is needed at Wilson and First. Library needs more funds. Prohibit bike riders from riding 4 and 5 abreast. Serious weed problems. Require car owners to park in front of their residences. We need more street lights. The Reporter -Herald needs to provide better advance notice of coming events. Respectfully submitted, Earl E. Stevens, Chair for the SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD 2
