HomeMy WebLinkAboutArt In Public Places Board - Minutes - 11/16/2005ART IN PUBLIC PLACES MINUTES Regular Meeting — Wednesday, November 16, 2005 Lincoln Center Ludlow Room Staff Liaison: Vice Chair: I MEMBERS PRESENT: Con-Hixon Cunningham, Alan Howe, Libby Dale, Lee Needham, Ray Tollison, Ann Wilmsen (CRB) MEMBERS ABSENT: Roger Sherman, Ann Carr STAFF PRESENT: Ellen Martin, Charity Kunter, Steve White, Karen Manci I. Call to order: 3:32 p.m. — Mr. Tollison H. Consideration of the current agenda. III. Approval of Minutes from October 19, 2005 Mr. Needham motions to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Howe seconds the motion. Unanimously approved. IV. Citizen Participation: none V. Bobcat Ridge Presentation: Artist Robert Tully presented his concept designs of the picnic shelter and front gate at Bobcat Ridge. He related his inspiration for his design with the sandstone hills where the trail is located, and the surrounding environment. Steve White and Karen Manci with the project team were present and expressed their pleasure with the designs and the APP Board as well was impressed with the project conception. Ms. Hhon -Cunningham motions to accept the proposal for Bobcat Ridge Mr. Needham seconds the motion. Unanimously approved. VI. 2006 Pedestrian Paver Project: Ms. Martin handed out information regarding the 4s' year of the Pedestrian Paver Project. Ms. Martin explained to the board the details of how the project worked, and explained the 2005 budget including the student honorarium. Discussion was raised regarding the amount of pavers requested and possibly increasing the amount. from 15 to 20 pavers or somewhere in between. Ms. Dale moved that we continue with the Pedestrian Paver project, with 15 to 20 pavers for 2006, Mr. Howe seconded the motion Unanimously approved VII.
