MIGIN At, Citizen Review Board Meeting 2554 Midpoint Dr. August 17, 2005 Present: Brian Carroll, Harry Edwards, Dave Evans and Maria Martinez. Absent: Dennis Baker, Monica Garcia and Becky Richardson. Staff: Lt. Jim Broderick, Sgt. Joel Tower, and Wendy Hartzell, Secretary. Public: None. The meeting was called to order at 6:10 p.m. by Chair Dave Evans. Absences: All submitted written notices except Monica Garcia. Voice Mall: No messages. i No public comment. Minutes: June 15, 2005, Minutes — Brian Carroll made a motion to approve the minutes. Harry Edwards seconded the motion. Brian Carroll thanked Wendy Hartzell for capturing the discussion accurately. There was no further discussion and the motion passed 4-0. July 20, 2005 Minutes - Maria Martinez made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected. Dave Evans seconded the motion. There was no further discussion and the motion passed 4-0. Subcommittee Minutes — Case #2004-26 — Maria Martinez made a motion to approve the subcommittee minutes for Case #2004-26 as written. Dave Evans seconded the motion. There was no discussion and the motion passed 2-0. Old Business: Lt. Broderick stated that the Governance Subcommittee of the Human Relations Commission met with Sgt. Pearson in June and offered to translate the complaint packet into Spanish. This work is in the process of being completed. Packets will be available in the Library and the Northside Aztlan Center. There is some discussion about including the forms on the web site. Lt. Broderick will discuss this with Greg Temple to determine if a complaint received from the web site would constitute a written complaint. Pending Cases — Subcommittee names were drawn for Case #2005-04 as follows: 1. Harry Edwards, Chair 2. Brian Carroll 3. Dennis Baker 4. Dave Evans 5. Monica Garcia 6. Maria Martinez 7. Becky Richardson. Lt. Broderick reminded the Board members that the Citizen's Police Academy starts on September 8.
