Special Water Board Meeting
May 28, 1981
Ward Fischer, Henry Caulfield, Tom Moore, Ray Anderson, Chuck
Turner, Ev Richardson, Glen Johnson, Norm Evans, Bernie Cain.
Dennis Bode, Mike Smith, Steve Olson, Molly Nortier.
Harvey Johnson, Tom Sanders (alt.).
A special meeting of the Water Board was called to prepare a presentation for a
Public Hearing on Water Conservation which will be held in the City Council Chambers
on June 2, 1981 at 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Fischer had sent a draft of a statement to Board members and Staff prior to the
meeting. The following headings contained in the statement were the basis for
discussion:
1) Conservation Through Development
2) Conservation Through Changes in Use
3) Conservation Through Reuse
4) Conservation Through Ordinances
5) Conservation Through Water Rationing
6) Conservation Through Water Meters
The Board agreed that this synopsis of Water Conservation in Fort Collins was very
well defined.
The format for the Public Hearing will be as follows:

Brief History of Water Conservation in Fort Collins Including the Ordinances
Molly Nortier
Hydrology and Engineering Aspects
Norman Evans
Economics of Conservation
Ray Anderson
Political Implications
Henry Caulfield
Quality of Life

Ward Fischer
The meeting was adjourned at 4:20 P.M.
