Special Water Board Meeting With City Council
September 10, 1981
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT Ward Fischer, Ray Anderson, Bernie Cain, Henry Caulfield,
Tom Moore, Harvey Johnson, Ev Richardson, David Stewart,
Chuck Turner, George Wallace.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT Gary Cassell, Gerry Horak.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT John Arnold, Paul Eckman, Roger Krempel, Mike Smith,
Dennis Bode, Molly Nortier.
MEDIA PRESENT Mark Radke, KCOL.
MEMBERS ABSENT Norm Evans.
Chairman Ward Fischer opened the meeting for discussion of the Draft Request for
Proposals (RFP), Cache La Poudre Project Feasibility Study.
The special meeting was called in order that the Water Board and City Council
could make their comments and suggestions available in writing to the State
Water Conservation Board by Monday, September 14th.
During the discussion, all appropriate comments and suggestions were recorded to
be incorporated in a letter which the staff will prepare and send on to the
Conservation Board.
Ward Fischer proposed that Ev Richardson be suggested as a member of the Steering
Committee which will be actively involved in the selection of the firm doing the
Poudre Project Feasibility study and subsequently, the review of draft reports to
be produced by the firm selected to do the study. Since there were no objections
to Ev Richardson's being suggested as a representative on the steering committee,
Mr. Fischer will write Mr. McDonald recommending Mr. Richardson's appointment.
If appointed Ev Richardson will will keep the Water Board informed of actions of
the steering committee.
Announcements
Roger Krempel announced that the Colorado Water Conservation Board will hold a
series of public meetings during the week of September 14, 1981 to receive
comments on the "Interim Report: South Platte River Basin Assessment." The
meeting in Fort Collins will be held on Thursday, September 17th in the City
Council Chambers at City Hall from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M.
Since there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:10 P.M.
