HomeMy WebLinkAboutWater Board - Minutes - 03/29/19650 0 • MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE WATER BOARD HELD MARCH 29, 1965, AT 3:30 o'clock P.M. IN THE ASSEMBLY ROOM IN THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK BUILDING. Board members present were, Ward Fischer, Frank Ghent, John Bartel, Fred Feit, also present were R. F. Boos, City Manager, Adam Fischer, City Engineer, Eddie Hilgenberg, Water Superintendent and J. T. Banner and Jack Hull, Consulting Engineers. The engineers submitted plans forthe 1965 Water Improvement Program. After considerable discussion, it was unanimously agreed to recommend to the City Council that J. T. Banner and Associates be authorized to proceed with the program and obtain at least four bids on four types of pipe approved by the engineer in the 42" size and 3 bids on the 36" and 30" pipe and two or more bids on all sizes under 30". The following committee representing an area approximately three miles south of the present city limits, L. G. Everitt, W. E. Morgan, A. R. Chamberlain, W. H. Allen and R. H. Betzing. They propose to subdivide and build about three hundred homes, shopping center, schools, churches and recreation area. Since this property is not in the Fort Collins -Loveland Water Dis- trict negotiations are, for the City of Fort Collins to sup- ply water. After considerable discussion, the matter was referred to J. T. Banner for study and to prepare a report on size of pipe, costs, etc. With nothing more to brought up at this time the Board adjourn- ed. Secrete
