MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FORT COLLINS WATER BOARD HELD MAY 11TH,
1964, AT 7:00 O'CLOCK P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Present: President Ward Fischer, Vice President Frank Ghent, Mayor
Harvey Johnson, Secretary John Bartel and Board members Norman Evans and
Fred Feit. Also present were: City Manager Robert Boos, Councilman
L. J. McMillan and Councilwoman Lorraine Quinn.
The "Report on Water Resources (First Phase)" compiled by
W. W. Wheeler and Associates, Consulting Engineers from Denver, Colorado,
was presented. Since Mr. Wheeler was not present, it was decided to
postpone discussion of this report until later when Mr. Wheeler could
be present.
The Mayor and members of the City Council have engaged J. L.
Banner and Associates of Laramie, Wyoming, (J. L. Banner will open a
• branch office in Fort Collins) to prepare the long range water and
sewer study as outlined in the meeting of April 6, 1964.
After some discussion, motion was made by member Fred Feit,
seconded by secretary John Bartel to recommend to the Council that
consideration be given to the possibilty of membership in "Colorado
Water Congress". The motion was put and duly carried by the unanimous
vote of the Board.
With nothing more to be brought up at this time the Board
adjourned.
