HomeMy WebLinkAboutWater Board - Minutes - 04/13/1964• MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FORT COLLINS WATER BOARD HELD APRIL 13TH, 1964, AT 7:00 O'CLOCK P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS Present: Vice President Frank Ghent, Mayor Harvey Johnson, Secretary John Bartel and Board Members Norman Evans and Fred Feit. President Ward Fischer was absent. Also present were: City Manager Robert F. Boos, City Engineer G. J. Weiss and Council Members Lorraine Quinn, James Guyer, L. J. McMillan and R. L. Colwell. The following engineering firms were present and interviewed: Henningson, Durham and Richardson - Denver, Colorado Burns and McDonnell Engineering Co. - Kansas City, Missouri Nelson, Haley, Patterson & Quirk, Inc. - Greeley, Colorado Parker and Underwood, Inc. - Greeley, Colorado J. T. Banner and Associates had been interviewed previously. After considerable discussion motion was made by Board Member Norman • Evans seconded by Member Fred Feit that the Board recommend to the Council that J. T. Banner & Associates of Laramie, Wyoming and Nelson, Haley, Patterson & Quirk, Inc. of Greeley, Colorado be considered for the proposed water and sewer study for the City. The motion was put and duly carried by the unanimous Vote of the Board. Also brought before the Board was the offering by LeRoy Smith to sell to the City two (2) shares Terry Lake and five (§) shares of Poudre River water at $1,400.00 per share. After discussion motion was made by Board Member Fred Feit seconded by Member Norman Evans that the Board recommend purchase by the City of the two (2) shares of Terry Lake water only. Balance of Mr. Smith's offer is not wanted at this time. The motion was put and duly carried by the unanimous vote of the Board. 0 With nothing further to be brought up at this time the Board adjourned. Jecre try
