• MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FORT COLLINS WATER. BOARD HELD NOVEMBER 21
1964 AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P. M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS.
Present: President Ward Fischer, Vice -President Frank Ghent, Secretary
John Bartel and Board member Fred Fait. Also Present: Mayor Harvey Johnson,
Acting City Manager Harold Lynch, Acting City Engineer Stanley Case and �i ss.s fao f
City Attorney Arthur E. March Jr.
Mr. J. T. Banner, H. T. Person and Harvy John of J. T. Banner
and Associates Inc. presented the Report on Existing Water Supply Facilities
and Proposed Improvements "November 1964". Cost figures as presented at
the meeting of October 12, 1964 were discussed and the consulting Engineers
agreed to present a more complete and final Report at a later date. When
this is done it will be recommended by the Water Board that the Council
proceed with this necessary improvement.
• Mr. W. W. Wheeler and W. W. Wheeler Jr, were also present and
joined in the discussion. The Board requested that Mr. Wheeler present
a report on the Cost of the Water Rights owned by the City.
It was' unanimously agreed by those present that the City purchase
any North Poudre, Colorado Big Thompson, Pleasant Valley and Lake Canal
and Arthur Ditch Co. Water that is available.
President Ward Fischer stated that he was approached by a broker
who was working on a proposition to bring water from the Western Slope
to the Fort Collins area and when he had more to present, the Board would
be very much interested in what he may have to offer.
At the October 15, 1964 meeting of the City Council the request
for a Water Tap from Ernest F. Langholf and Truman I. Means was referred
to the Water Board. The Board recommended disapproval of this request
• unless the West Fort Collins Water District would give their consent in
writing.

time the Board adjourned.
Next meeting to be November 16, 1964 at 7:30 O'Clock P. M.
in the office of The Water Supply and Storage Co. at 528 So. College
Avenue.
