A quorum was present. Board members present included: Bob Browning, Kay Rios, Billie Rosen, Jane Phelan, David McKelfresh, Isabel Garity, David Danforth, and Stacey Overton. Staff members present: Maurice Head and Ken Waido. Council liaison, Chuck Wanner was present. Move to approve: Isabel Garity, David McKelfresh, 2nd, motion carried. Tenants Rights Legislation: Board members expressed interest in looking into this issue, particularly in regards to subsidized housing. It will be placed on a future agenda. Periodic Review of the Affordable Housing Board Motion to send to council as presented made by David McKelfresh, Isabel Garity, 2nd, All in favor, Motion carried. Kay Rios and Isabel Garity will represent this board at the study session on July 24, 2001. Rental Application Fees Board members expressed an interest in following up on this topic. It will be placed on the agenda for future meetings. Affordable Housing Board July 5, 2001 Meeting Minutes Page 2 Impact Fees The board would like to move forward with this by sending a letter to City Council. Kay Rios will prepare a letter. Subcommittee This subcommittee has been very enlightening. The schedule has been filled with meetings on a large span of topics with many different groups. Information is being compiled and a draft of the report will appear before the board at either the August meeting or a special meeting, or via email. This report will be sent from the AHB to City Council without the influence of staff to address all concerns therein. Appreciation of staff efforts in this project were also acknowledged at this time. Other Business Applications are being accepted for the AHB. Apply at City Clerk's office or online. Meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
