Regular Meeting - Wednesday, July 21, 2004

MEMBERS PRESENT: Roger Sherman, Lee Needham, Libby Dale, Alan Howe, Ann Carr
MEMBERS ABSENT: Cori Hixon-Cunningham, Ray Tollison
STAFF PRESENT: Ellen Martin, CharityKunter, Jim O'Neill, Dean Klinger
Call to order 3:30 p.m. - Mr. Sherman
II. Consideration of the agenda
III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of June 16, 2004.
Mr. Howe moved to approve the minutes.
Ms. Dale seconded the motion.
Approved unanimously.
IV. Citizen Participation
V. North College Entryway Proposal Project:
The selection committee reviewed proposals from 12 artists/artist teams for this project.
Ms. Dale moved that Howard Kalish be the artist for the North College Entryway project with May & Watkins
as the alternate artist team.
Mr. Needham seconded
For the motion: Lee Needham, Libby Dale, Roger Sherman
Against the motion: Alan Howe, Ann Carr
Motion passes.
Chip Steiner from the Downtown Development Authority PDA) suggested that the artist meet with DDA
and perhaps initially dream past the city determined budget.
V. Staff Reports
Staff distributed a written report of staff activities since the last board meeting.
VI. Other Business: Ideas were shared as to projects related to an APP/Eagle Scout collaboration.
