Call to order 3:33 p.m. — Mr. Tollison II. Consideration of the agenda III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of May 19, 2004. Ms. Hixon-Cunningham moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Howe seconded the motion. Approved unanimously. IV. Citizen Participation V. Spring Canyon Community Park Presentation: Mr. Matt Day from the Parks Planning Dept. gave an overview of the Spring Canyon Community Park Project. The board also discussed the Southwest Pump Station project because it was suggested at a previous board meeting to combine these projects. Discussion was had by the committee. Mr. Needham moved to combine the Spring Canyon Community Park project and the Southwest Pump Station, to take advantage of the $8,000 design budget. The motion was seconded by Mr. Howe. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. Howe moved that we put out an RFP for the combined projects. Mr. Needham seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously VI. Water Cycle Wall Phase Il Design Presentation: Artist Joe McGrane presented his model of the design, "Water Washes the Earth." Mr. McGrane presented a time line, budget & description of the project. Ms. Hixon-Cunningham moved to recommend Mr. Joe McGrane's art piece for approval at City Council. Mr. Howe seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously VII. Drake Water Reclamation Facility Proposal Review: The selection committee reviewed proposals from 18 artists/artist teams for this project. Mr. Howe moved that we accept Lynn Hull as the selected artist with Robert Ellison as the standby or alternate artist. Ms. Hixon-Cunningham seconded For the motion: Lee Needham, Cori Hixon-Cunningham, Alan Howe, and Ray Tollison Against the motion: None 06-16-04 Abstention: Libby Dale Motion passes. V1. Staff Reports Staff distributed a written report of staff activities since the last board meeting. VII. Other Business: Article about Power Trail was distributed. VIII.
