Chairperson Patrick Brady called the special meeting of the Fort Collins Housing
Authority to order at 7:45 a.m.
II. CITIZEN IMPUT
There was no citizen input.
III. NEW BUSINESS
Several items related to the project of Lakeside at Rigden Farm were discussed, including
procurement issues, price -points and absorption, financing issues, and landlease inflators.
The Board spoke to attorney Loring Harkness, bond counsel, via telephone regarding
maximum borrowing utilizing double tax-exempt financing.
The Board discussed the value of the land and the value of the developer's contribution.
This issue will be further studied. Commissioners Brady and Sollenberger, Ms. Brewen
and Mr. Martell will meet with Sierra Land Corporation and their legal counsel to
negotiate some issues related to financial risk.
A motion was made by Commissioner Steiner, seconded by Commissioner Wanner, to
have formally retract Resolution 02-01 authorizing the execution of the development
agreement with Sierra Land until items related to procurement and land value can be
further addresses. This motion was unanimously passed.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Brady adjourned the special meeting.
