Regular Meeting Minutes
August 12, 2004
Members present: Mark Beck, Paul Ostrof, Susan Williams, Steve Rierson, Jeanie Cook, Laura Barnett, and Melinda Suits. Guests:
Marty Tharp, Council Liaison , and Steve Sutter. City staff: Rachel Palmer, Steve White.
Mark called the meeting to order at 12:15 pm at the Council Information Center.
The minutes from July's meeting were approved. Susan Williams motioned to accept the minutes and Laura
seconded the motion.
Congratulations to Susan and the Art Show Committee for putting on such a wonderful Art Show. Susan said that we are
already locked in for the square next year on the last Saturday in July. A number of artists sold their artwork.
Diane Dittos is resigning due to health problems.
New Business
Susan handed out a draft of the COD brochure. She asked that everyone go over it and we will talk about it at the next
meeting.
Steve shared pictures from the port -a -potties at the art show that were in handicapped spots. Letter to be sent, composed by
Susan.
Sub -Committee Reports
Mayor's Awards — Steve Sutter gave a report. He needs to get the letter approved. All of the costs for the Mayor's Awards
are higher than last year.
Nomination & Selection —Joanne will get with Jerry on the nominations. The deadline for turning in nominations is August
30,2004.
PHA— The updated resolution was approved by Council at the last council meeting..
Steve Rnerson motioned to adjourn the meeting and Laura seconded.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m.
Next Meeting — September 9, 12:15 pm at the Council Information Center.
