I. Call to Order: 6: 10
II. Minutes approved: Approval of May, June, July were tabled, as there was no quorum
III. Review Agenda: Approved as is
IV. Announcements: Lee Varra-Nelson sent her resignation via email today.
V. Business Items:
I. Melissa Selby: What would it be to have a Women's Resource Center? Could the focus be shifted
to case management? Is Melissa interested in being a member?
2. Policy Agenda: The three areas that were chosen were: Pay and Job Opportunities for Women in
non-traditional roles, Women owned Businesses, and Issues Women face with Transportation.
The research will be approached by splitting the areas among members.
Members did a brain dump to figure out what they knew about each topic.
Penny will work on Women Owned Businesses
Kristin will work on Issues that Women Face with Transportation
Alison and Cecilia will work on Pay and Job Opportunities for Women in non-traditional
Roles
3. Marcile N. Wood Award Needs:
Update mailing list —Alison
Contact United Way for updated list —Kristin
Review and update application and letter —Cecilia
Website information —to be discussed once it gets closer
