Call Meetine to Order:
Meeting called to order by Board member Ryan Hennig at 7:08 p.m.
Approval of Minutes from September 1, 2004
Three of the five Board members present at this meeting were appointed to the Board after
September lst, so minutes were not approved.
Agenda Review:
Delete item #8 (Northside Aztlan Community Center Update)
Citizen Participation:
No citizen participation.
Agenda:
RECREATION SLIDE SHOW
Board members were shown a Power Point presentation that gives an overview of the facilities
and programs that make up the Recreation Division. Ryan suggested taking the presentation to
the schools.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Postponed until November.
YOUTH ACTIVITY CENTER UPDATE/FUND-RAISING
Dave Mosnik distributed the October calendar and YAC newsletter. He reported that the gym
that is under construction is ahead of schedule, and participants and staff are looking forward to
this facility enhancement. Kristie Blackmon reminded Board members of the Youth Summit that

is to be held the weekend of October 13 in Estes Park. Erin Rooney, David Saperstone and
Ashley Stephenson are scheduled to attend. She also announced that the YAC is not hosting a
haunted house this year, but they are having a Halloween dance for junior high -age youths.
NORTHSIDE AZTLAN COMMUNITY CENTER UPDATE
No update.
OTHER BUSINESS
Jonathan Fanning assisted some YAC staff members in manning an aid station for the
marathon held the weekend of October 2.
The Recreation Division is hosting a fund-raising breakfast at the Senior Center on
November 10. Young people are needed to greet people as they arrive.
The City's Boards & Commissions appreciation event will be held on November 10.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. on a motion made by Erin Rooney and seconded by
Kristi Thomas.
