Secretary -Recorder: Jerry Historian: Jeff Melinda Susan Lego challenge - Audible signals (Handout) Issue Tabled to December The Main Library Restrooms may not meet code Moreen Dougherty - Moreen is concerned that her neighborhood has too much crime. Neighbor -to -Neighbor is not enforcing the rules. Moreen was led to believe that the Neighbor -to -Neighbor program is a city run organization. She stated that she has brought her concerns to Neighborhood resources but did not get resolution. Balloting for the 2005 Executive Committee occurred, ballots were given to Rachel for counting Steve Rierson has a concern about the polling stations from the last general election. Specifically the polling station at the Harmony Presbyterian church. No access was offered to him on his scooter. He had to cast his ballot outside. We could talk to Scott Doyle, the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder. Or, send a complaint to the State of Colorado. Motion: to Send a letter to Scott Doyle requesting that all polling places in "rimer County be made accessible. By Susan, 2nd Joan The letter should specifically point out the inaccessibility of the Harmony Presbyterian site. Unanimously Approved Action: Susan to write the letter, Jerry to edit the letter Doug Gross — City Engineering, has been responsive to change, curb cuts, etc. and is a good contact to keep in mind. Motion: to approve the October Regular Meeting Minutes by Jeff, second Laura There was a misspelling in recreation. Unanimously Approved with corrections 2005 Executive Committee Results Susan — Chairperson Steve — Vice -Chairperson Jerry — Secretary/Recorder Melinda — Historian Letter regarding portable toilets in handicapped parking spots. A Letter was received back from the Executive Director of the Downtown Business Association, David Short, claiming that they did not allow portable toilets to be placed in handicapped parking spots on streets that were accessible by vehicles for any of their events. The commission agreed not to reply to the director at this time. Steve heard of a complaint regarding double parking in extra -wide handicapped parking spaces. Should we consider further action on this issue? Susan - carry cameras, take pictures of things that happen in order to make certain the problems can get resolved. Tabled Motion: to make mayor's awards every other year. Motion: to table motion until the December Regular Meeting Steve Sutter will be coming to the December meeting to discuss the results of this year's Mayor's Awards. Unanimously Approved Motion tabled until the December Regular Meeting Work Plan Recess, By Mark, 1:21 PM Order, By Mark,1:33 PM Work Plan Addendum A Steve Rierson assigned (#11) Neighborhood Resources Liaison. Action: Mark, Ask Steve about BLN? Action: Steve R., to look into resume writing day seminar Action: Jerry, ask about putting ongoing projects on website, encouraging public participation. Edits to 2004 Work Plan, see attached> (Upon consideration of Mayors Awards Subcommittee Item in the Work Plan) Motion: to send a letter to Mayor Ray Martinez for his support of the COD and the Mayor's Awards by Joan, Second Laura Unanimously Approved Action: Executive Committee to start holding meetings as required in the By -Laws suggested in February and August (Upon consideration of the Member Recognition item in the Work Plan) Action: Recognition in order for Tracy Oschner, Jill Lancaster, and Alan Apt We would like to commend Ruth and Diane even though they did not complete their terms.
