Regular Meeting - Wednesday, September 15, 2004

MEMBERS PRESENT: Roger Sherman, Lee Needham, Jim O'Neill, Ann Carr, Ray Tollison, Libby Dale,
Cori Hixon-Cunningham
MEMBERS ABSENT: Alan Howe
STAFF PRESENT: Ellen Martin, Cory Gundlach
I. Call to order 3:35 p.m. - Mr. Sherman
H. Consideration of the current agenda
III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of August 18, 2004.
Mr. Sherman moved to approve the minutes.
Mr. Tollison seconded the motion.
Approved unanimously.
IV. Citizen Participation
V. Spring Canyon Community Park Project Proposal Review:
Ellen Martin explained proposal evaluation process and b ackground on the Spring Canyon Community Park
Project. Design budget is $8,000 and the arc budget is $65,000. Project Manager, Kathleen Benedict gave the
background information on the site which is a 100 acre park Mr. Sherman offered further background and history
of the site. The Selection Committee reviewed nine artist/artist team submissions.
Ms. Hixon-Cunningham motions to accept Karl Ciesluk as the # 1 artist and Cliff Garten as the alternate artist.
Seconded by Lee Needham.
Unanimously accepted.
VIII. Staff Reports:
Staff distributed a written report of staff activities since the last board meeting. Cory Gundlach was introduced
as the new APP Program Assistant.
IV. Other Business: None
