Call Meetine to Order:
Meeting called to order by Abby Zier at 7:03 p.m.
Approval of Minutes from December 3, 2003
On a motion by Brendon Votipka and seconded by Jonathan Fanning, the minutes of December
3, 2003 were approved unanimously (9-0).

TRANSPORTATION PRESENTATION
Mark Jackson, Transportation Planning Manager, provided a Power Point presentation that
graphically defined the current transportation situation and the logical progression of steps that
the City should take to improve the situation. All improvements, however, are subject to the
availability of funding.
SUB -COMMITTEE REPORTS
Brendon Votipka shared information on his sub -committee's project... the proposed inspiration
park. This committee is planning to issue a fund-raising challenge to the junior and senior highs
as well as the elementary schools.

Ashley Stephenson reported that her committee discussed ideas for a poster/fliers to advertise an
event that they are planning for adult/child participation to enhance trust. They also talked about
a timeline for acquiring gift certificates for door prizes, etc.
YOUTH ACTIVITY CENTER UPDATE/FUND-RAISING
The December participation report and the January newsletter/calendar were distributed. Dave
Mosnik reported that the cold weather had brought in some groups, but Christmas break was not
as busy as expected. He's proud to report that there are "zero" discipline problems. A new
program "Club 56" (a drop -in night the first Saturday night of every month for 5`h and 6t"
graders), was considered successful after its inaugural night. Approximately 75 kids arrived at
the YAC on a cold and snowy night to play games, do karaoke, climb, etc. Volunteers are
needed to help supervise the game room and to help with tournaments and karaoke.
The bowling tournament for the gym fund has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 31 from
1:00-4:00 p.m. at Horsetooth Lanes. The fund-raising group is also selling "Faces of Fort
Collins" calendars which feature local celebrities.
NORTHSIDE AZTLAN COMMUNITY CENTER UPDATE
NACC staff was really busy during the month of December with gift -wrapping events and
numerous parties. Over 660 kids benefited from gifts and parties as part of the annual "Toys for
Kids" event. For that program, donations were over and above what was needed.
A 3-on-3 basketball tournament was held during Christmas break, and because of its success,
another one is being planned for spring break. Fifty plus kids are registered for wrestling and are
doing well in tournaments for both sportsmanship and skill.
